So, how much of a dork am I???

I got a sneak preview of my (super secret) cover for The Body Finder from my editor the other day, and I was so excited that I printed out a copy and taped it to a book that was just about the right size. And then I walked around looking at it from every possible angle to see how my book might look when it's printed up, all shiny and real.

And even though my printer sucks, and the tape beneath the edges was fairly obvious...it was beautiful! My husband practically had to stop me from signing the book it was taped to.

I wish I could share with everyone, but my editor says no. :(

I promise, though, as soon as I get the "thumbs up" from Harper, you guys will be the first to know!!!

That's not dorky at all, says one who danced in her kitchen with a galley and made her husband take pictures of it all over the house.

Many congrats~

I would have totally signed it! It would go in my momento box!
Just imagine what a dork I'll be when the actual ARCs show up. I'll have to post photos for sure then. And maybe video, so you can see the stupid dancing!

Dorky? I would have taken it down to Borders and put it in the right "hole", then waited for shoppers to walk by so I could pull it out and be "reading" it when they walked by. You're not even close to dorky :-)

Am cracking up! That IS SO DORKY! Just kidding!! I would be there right with ya doing the same thing! In fact, thanks for the idea. I'll be sure to do that same thing one day to a random book in my house :-)

(if I ever sell my baby)

Okay - I just read the comments and I totally giggling at Tam's comment. PLEASE go do that at Borders! Hilarious!
I'm sure Borders would LOVE it if they found a bunch of books with fake covers taped to them. I'm imagining people's faces as they pull them off the shelves...ahaha!
