My Reveal

My second book, a sequel to THE BODY FINDER, just got an enthusiastic thumbs-up from my agent, which means that it's now off to my editor at HarperCollins.

And my big reveal? The moment you've all been waiting for...well, no, probably none of you, but here it is anyway...

The title of book two: DESIRES OF THE DEAD

Up next: Much celebration, a trip to Costco to restock on supplies, and back to the grindstone...because that's how I roll!

Congratulations. Costco is the perfect way to celebrate. Make sure you get a frozen yogurt on the way out.

I would like to point out how very difficult it is to get the "enthusiastic two thumbs up" from agent Laura Rennert! She might be tougher than any editor.

Congrats, must feel great to be able to visit Costo unburdened by book two!

Love the title.
Very cool! Have fun at Costco :^)
LiLa - I really just stole a line from the book. (Spoiler: I'm not that clever!)

Betsy - No FroYo, but I did make Josh take me out to lunch!!

Purple - From your word count, you're not so far away...you'll get there!!!!

And, yeah, Christy, I was giddy after I got her email (it was a huge relief to her stamp of approval!). *sigh*

Hi Kimberly,

Just found your blog! Congratulations on your new title!
I was reading your past posts on getting published & how you found your agent. I must say, it was truly inspiring. Thanks so much for detailing your experience at BEA. It's in New York this year, and I was debating on whether or not to go to the Pitch Slam. But after reading your story, I'm REALLY thinking about going!
Hi Crystal! I thought it was a great experience (obviously!), and a good way to stand out from a pile a query letters sitting in an already overfilled inbox. I'm so glad that I decided to do it, I really think it made all the difference! Let me know what you decide, I'd love to hear your thoughts if you go.

I will definitely let you know, Kimberly! Thanks!

Btw, would you believe the date of the Expo, May 27th , also happens to be my birthday? So I may make this a gift to myself!
Crystal, what a great b-day gift!
