The Love-is-in-the-Air Giveaway!!!

In honor of Valentine's Day, I've decided to talk about my favorite subject...and to give some stuff away!

Anyone who’s read my books knows one thing for certain: I love kissing. And I love writing kissing scenes. I love it when my main characters finally get to unleash the floodgate of emotions they’ve been holding back...when their lips finally meet at long, long last!

But sometimes even better than the kissing, is the non-kissing. The tension that builds up in the days, hours, and minutes leading up to that first kiss.  If you ask me, sometimes that’s even sweeter than the actual kiss itself.

You know what I mean...those moments when your eyes meet across the room...or you accidentally brush hands and there’s that sudden spark.  Or when you’re at a dance and that slow song comes on, and the boy you like wraps his arms around your waist. You can smell him, and feel the warmth of him against you, and the butterflies in your stomach are going crazy while the music plays and you get lost in the sensation of being so close to him you feel like you might implode.

And then there are those scant seconds right before you know—you know!—he’s going to kiss you...when his eyes are watching your lips and you see him moving tentatively closer. Your heart feels like it might pound out of your chest. You want him to do, and at the same time you’re afraid that he might chicken out, or that you might chicken out, but he’s still coming...closer and closer. Until, finally, you feel his lips on yours...ever so lightly. Ever so gently. Ever so perfectly.

Did I mention I love kissing?

And that’s what I love about it, the tension. The uncertainty, and all of the emotions going crazy.  To me, the perfect kiss is that very first one. The one where anything is possible. Where neither of you know what to expect. You don’t know when, or even if, it will happen. You don’t know if the two of you will be compatible or if it’ll be the best kiss of your entire life.  It’s all still a mystery.  A heart-stopping, stomach-clenching, roller-coaster of a mystery that you can’t wait to unravel.

Together.

In honor of love, and kissing, and well...kissing, let's win some stuff, shall we???

I've got an an ARC of DEAD SILENCE, Tahereh Mafi's UNRAVEL ME (which I know you want!), Julie Cross's TEMPEST, and Alaya Dawn Johnson's THE SUMMMER PRINCE...all very good kissing books! Because of shipping costs, the books will be available to US residents only. But fret not, International residents, because there will be a second Rafflecopter as well! International residents are eligible to win the equivalent of a $20 e-certificate to the online bookseller of your choice so you can order the kissing books of your choosing! Nothing beats a sweet, first kiss! I had one two weekends ago and it still makes me smile to think about it.

Thank you for this giveaway!

Whoops! I commented on the blog post and didn't answer the questions: My V-Day plans right now are to pack for the CRUISE I'm taking the next day! :) If I win, I'd probably buy The Eseence...I'm for real...it's due to the library and I don't think I'll get it read completely before I have to return it.

We will just stay home. Going out on Valentines Day is too crazy...restaurants are busy, and kitchens and servers are slammed and just trying to survive the night. We always go on a different night and call it Valentines Day....this year we went on 1/28 to a Middle Eastern restaurant. Hopefully 2/14 will include chocolate and wine though!
Julie said…
If I win, I'd pick Dead Silence. Hands down. No questions about it.
Lynne said…
I think I would pick The Summer Prince

What am I doing on Valentine's Day?? I don't have anything fun planned... it lands on a Thursday, and I'm a nursing student and my clinical days are on Thursday, so I'll be at the hospital from 7 am to 7 pm. And by then I'll probably be so exhausted that I'm just gonna go straight to bed =/

And if I were to win the e-certificate I would buy...Oooh that's a tough one. Probably Unravel Me and Lunatic Detective by Sharon Sala.

Dinner with the husband. And I'd buy The Essence!!

No V-Day plans for me. Still single! Uh...what book would I buy...hmm...well I just might preorder Dead Silence and put the rest towards Dead Ever After!

On Valentines Day I am going to pass out Valentines cookies to my coworkers. Then I will go out for sushi for dinner with my amazing husband and my our too-smart-for-our-good 15 month old. Ill probably finish my day by reading my book du jour. I am lucky enough to live in Florida, so instead of saying what I would buy, I'll say I would read Dead Silence first because that is the one that I've been waiting longest to read. I will quickly finish that and continue immediately to Unravel Me. I just finished Shatter Me about a week ago so it's fresh in my mind...

I'm working :-( my great vday plans.
Unknown said…
I have to work for Valentine's Day, unfortunately. I don't mind too much. There's only four of us; the two guys are married and no doubt wanted to spend the evening with their hunnies, and the third is getting deployed in a month, so she should enjoy her time off while she can. Of course, then my coworkers from my other job decided they wanted to rock it out at the university basketball and hockey games...oh well. I can always scream obscenities and insults another time!
Unknown said…
movie night/PLL marathon for v-day. wish i had a valentine but winning would be amazing!

Relaxing. Don't really celebrate this holiday. ;)
Unknown said…
We keep it simple...dinner at home and quality time. Being military we have missed a lot of holidays together and have learned that simple is more special.
BellaBunnell said…
I would totally buy Dead Silence- or maybe mushy book. Hmm. The possibilities. ;) Thanks Kimberly. Happy Valentine's Day!

You wouldn't think this would be a hard one to answer but I have hundreds of books on my wishlist. I would probably save it for the last Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz.
