MY RELEASE DAY (in pics)!!!

I promised to share, so here it is, my release day picture post!

First, I woke up to a lovely gift from my hubby:

Isn’t it adorable (the bracelet, not the ring. Or the veins...the veins are not adorable!)???

And then we were off to scout bookstores. But here’s the thing, I wasn't prepared for how excited I would be to actually see my book on shelves. I knew it would be cool, but there was still a part of me that was sort of doing it because it was the-thing-to-do. So when we walked into the first store and I saw it…REALLY SAW IT, I may have screamed. Like a little girl!

Here’s my first official photo op, because, yeah, I just couldn’t contain myself…

And here’s my trying to be a little more…adult about it.

We hit a few more stores, signed some stock (and, yes, my ID was checked, because apparently that’s a big problem, people walking into stores and offering to sign random books!), and then hit The Cheesecake Factory for the mother of all desserts...and some food, too.

Afterward, we stopped at one more bookstore, where TBF was shelved front-and-center! (OMG, look at all those great books surrounding it!):

And I tried not to lose my frikkin’ mind again:

That is so exciting! By the time I got to B&N Tuesday there was only one copy left! So I did what any normal, rational adult would do--I pushed a little girl out of the way, snatched that book up and ran to the checkout!

Hehe (I so didn't do that, but it was the last one there and I was so happy to yank it from the shelves!!)

By the way, I'm hooked! I have to make myself put it down to eat, sleep, bathe and I cry a little bit everytime I set it down. : (

Happy Thursday!!

I love these pictures! And the signing looks like it was amazing (and crowded!).
I went to two bookstores while I was in California (Diesel in Oakland, and Books Inc in Berkeley) and was v. excited to see it on display in both. It's so darn gorgeous.
