5th YA Scavenger Hunt...aka. the Winter(ish) Edition!

Welcome to YA Scavenger Hunt! This tri-annual event was first organized by author Colleen Houck as a way to give readers a chance to gain access to exclusive bonus material from their favorite authors...and a chance to win some awesome prizes! At this hunt, you not only get access to exclusive content from each author, you also get a clue for the hunt. Add up the clues, and you can enter for our prize--one lucky winner will receive one signed book from each author on the hunt in my team! But play fast: this contest (and all the exclusive bonus material) will only be online for 72 hours!

Go to the YA Scavenger Hunt page to find out all about the hunt. There are TWO contests going on simultaneously, and you can enter one or all! I am a part of the RED TEAM--but there is also a blue team offering you the chance to win an entirely different set of signed books!

If you'd like to find out more about the hunt, see links to all the authors participating, and see the full list of prizes up for grabs, go to the YA Scavenger Hunt homepage.

SCAVENGER HUNT PUZZLE

Directions: Below, you'll notice that I've listed my favorite number. Collect the favorite numbers of all the authors on the red team, and then add them up (don't worry, you can use a calculator!).

Entry Form: Once you've added up all the numbers, make sure you fill out the form here to officially qualify for the grand prize. Only entries that have the correct number will qualify.

Rules: Open internationally, anyone below the age of 18 should have a parent or guardian's permission to enter. To be eligible for the grand prize, you must submit the completed entry form by Sunday, December 2nd, at noon Pacific Time. Entries sent without the correct number or without contact information will not be considered.

I am hosting J.A. Souders for the YA Scavenger Hunt!

J.A. Souders was born in the heartland with an overactive imagination and an over abundance of curiosity that was always getting her into trouble. She first began writing at the age of 13, when she moved to Florida and not only befriended the monsters under the bed, but created worlds for them to play together.

Because she never grew up, she decided she’d put her imaginary friends to work and started writing. She still lives in the land of sunshine and palm trees with her husband and their two children.

And here's a little about her book, RENEGADE, which is available now!

“MY LIFE IS JUST ABOUT PERFECT.”

Since the age of three, sixteen-year-old Evelyn Winters has been trained to be Daughter of the People in the underwater utopia known as Elysium. Selected from hundreds of children for her ideal genes, all her life she’s thought that everything was perfect; her world. Her people. The Law.

But when Gavin Hunter, a Surface Dweller, accidentally stumbles into their secluded little world, she’s forced to come to a startling realization: everything she knows is a lie. Her memories have been altered. Her mind and body aren’t under her own control. And the person she knows as Mother is a monster.

Together with Gavin she plans her escape, only to learn that her own mind is a ticking time bomb… and Mother has one last secret that will destroy them all.

Now for the top secret bonus material. An exclusive sneak peak (only a few pages of the full version) of the English version of A DARK GRAVE, which is a prequel of RENEGADE specifically from Gavin’s POV and will be released in the US in December! Click on the phrase bonus material below to be taken to a special link, then enter the password: GAVIN

And don't forget to enter the contest for a chance to win a ton of signed books, including a copy of THE ESSENCE (by me), RENEGADE by J.A. Souders, and more! To enter, you need to know that my favorite number is 4. Add up all the favorite numbers of the authors on the red team and you'll have all the secret code to enter for the grand prize!

CONTINUE THE HUNT

To keep going on your quest for the hunt, you need to check out the next author, Joy Preble

And because it's the holiday season, I've decided to keep on giving by adding an extra giveaway here on my site! You can enter to win signed and/or personalized copies of THE PLEDGE, along with an advance copy of THE ESSENCE (The Pledge #2), which is due out January 1st. (I'll also throw in a cool Pledge/Essence swag pack including signed bookmarks, stickers, a Passport, and poster!)

All you have to do is fill out the Rafflecopter form (below) and you're entered. How easy is that?
