The YA Scavenger Hunt is On!!!

EDIT:  The Hunt is now CLOSED! Good luck, everyone!!!

So if you've made it this far, I probably don't need to tell you how cool the YA Scavenger Hunt is, right??? But in case you don't already know, this is a fabulous sneak peek into what’s coming up in YA literature that runs from October 3rd - 6th.

Each author on the hunt is hosting another author’s bonus material (mine is out there on someone else's blog!) AND a link to the next step of the hunt.

At this hunt, you not only get access to exclusive content from each author, you also get a clue for the hunt. Add up the clues, and you can enter for our prize--one lucky winner will receive one signed book from each author on the hunt in my team! But play fast--this contest (and all the exclusive bonus material) will only be online for 72 hours!

Go to the YA Scavenger Hunt page to find out all about the hunt. There are THREE contests going on simultaneously, and you can enter one or all! I am a part of the BLUE TEAM--but there are also red and gold teams giving you a chance to win entirely different sets of books!

SCAVENGER HUNT PUZZLE

Directions: Below, you'll notice that I've listed my favorite number. Collect the favorite numbers of all the authors on the blue team, and then add them up (don't worry, you can use a calculator!).

Entry Form: Once you've added up all the numbers, make sure you fill out the form here to officially qualify for the grand prize. Only entries that have the correct number will qualify.

Rules: Open internationally, anyone below the age of 18 should have a parent or guardian's permission to enter. To be eligible for the grand prize, you must submit the completed entry form by Sunday, October 6th at noon Pacific Time. Entries sent without the correct number or without contact information will not be considered.

SCAVENGER HUNT POST

Today, I am hosting April Genevieve Tucholke. April digs classic movies, red-headed villains, big kitchens, and discussing murder at the dinner table. She loves in Oregon at the edge of a forest.

Her book, BETWEEN THE DEVIL AND THE DEEP BLUE SEA, is a gothic thriller romance with shades of Stephen King and f. Scott Fitzgerald, set against a creepy summertime backdrop. "Lavishly rendered, darkly romantic, and beautifully unsettling--Tucholke's debut isn't a book you'll soon forget." --Melissa Marr, New York Times bestselling author of the Wicked Lovely series

Find out more information by checking out her author website or find more about BETWEEN THE DEVIL AND THE DEEP BLUE SEA here!

EXCLUSIVE CONTENT

For April's exclusive content she's written the shortest gothic novel in the world ;)

The Mad Poet and the Sane Governess
By April Genevieve Tucholke

Chapter 1: Conclusion

Once there was a poet who was mad and his wife was also mad and she lived in the attic but the poet fell in love anyway with a sane young governess who came to live at his turreted and secret-passaged mansion on the wild moors of Yorkshire.  One day the sane governess found out about the mad wife and killed her with a cursed dagger that she received from a strange priest who wandered the moors and sold secrets (and daggers).  Thus, the sane governess married the mad poet and they lived tragically and gothically ever after.

THE END

I don't know why, when it's so obviously tragic, and of course gothic, but that makes me giggle.

Don't forget to enter the contest for a chance to win a ton of signed books by me, April Genevieve Tucholke, and more! To enter, you need to know that my favorite number is 4! Add up all the favorite numbers of the authors on the blue team and you'll have all the secret code to enter for the grand prize!

CONTINUE THE HUNT

To keep going on your quest for the hunt, you need to check out Amber Argyle, the next author whose site you need to visit!

And because I love giveaways, I've decided to do an additional (completely separate!) giveaway, so you have even more chances to win!

Just fill out the Rafflecopter below, and bam!, you're entered to win one of the four ARCs I'll be giving away.
